NOTE:

If your signature does not meet the guidelines below, it will be deleted by an Admin. You will not receive any warning PMs or posts regarding this as its time consuming for us (we already have plenty todo). If you cant take a moment and make sure your sig is correct we can't be bothered to take a moment and hold your hand through the process.

Would you like to use a sig image on mymonte?

Well you are quite welcome to! Show off your car, your creativity, your interests.

In the intrest of keeping the forum sane and making it easy for people to read we do have some simple rules to follow.

1. The image size must be no larger than the template attached to this post; 455 x 100.

2. When using a Sig image you can have no more than 3 lines of text in your sig.

3. No multi-image sigs.

4. No use of Flash, SVG or script in your sigs (immideate deletion of the sig will result)

5. If you are not using an image, you can have up to 8 lines of text.

6. If your sig image is shorter than the allowed 100 px, you may have additional lines of text within reason. This is at the Admin's descretion. 15 -20 lines of text is not acceptable.

If your sig does not conform to these simple standards your sig will be deleted without notice.

Any questions may be posted here.

Why the new rules, this sucks. Ive been thinking about sizing mine down a bit anyway because its huge.

Why no multi image sigs? What if you want different views of your car?

Good.. I always liked smaller ones better! And by multi image he means more than one actual image.. not multiple images in one sig.

what I mean is the sig needs to be 1 image file the content of the file doesnt matter (within reason of course) it just needs to be one physical file

also we have always had sig rules and nail people on big sigs, its just more clear for people when they have guidelines and a template to follow.

If you save the template file posted you can open it in photoshop and youll have the start of an image with the right maximum dimensions you can use.

Huge sigs make it a pain to browse the forum when you have to scroll down forever to get to the next post because someone uses a sig larger than the maximum size.

animated gifs are ok, I said no flash or SVG to prevent scripting, incompatibility and possibly security hole problems

a long sig wont matter in the future, im working on a full screen theme for the site

You alswyas have the option to use the p tag to center your sig though

<p align="center"></p>

does this

center...psshh still isn't long... :P I just think they look better when they cross the entire screen. the little block doesnt do it for me.... looks how should I say cheap or incomplete, like you can't afford the whole deal. haha but yea that will be cool once you get the full screen theme out.

sigs belong in your personal gallery, the link in the orignal post has instructions on setting up your personal gallery. images posted in the personal galleries do not require approval and you can also make the gallery private (to everyone except admins so no porn got it?)

find the picture you want > right click on it > properties > use the address of the picture (in firefox it's called location).

That's what the address is in those tags.

I know.. it still tells you how to link them.

And are you adding a gif to your sig? Or adding a seperate gif next to it?

I missed the part about it being only .gifs that were a problem, and I never even went to the gallery to check it. I'll put it in asap.
