Don't count on getting any money out of your 3.1- I tried selling mine w/ the tranny with about 90k on them, and didn't get any offers over about 10 forums. The last week I put it up for free w/ pickup- and no one would even come get it for free. The bad thing is they are a dime a dozen in junkyards, and they are not sought after for any performance part. At least if you had a 3400 or a 3500, then there would be the 3100 people wanting to buy it for parts- but with the 3100, the only thing worth any money might be the intake manis and heads for core's for porting.
The best route is to do the complete powertrain (engine, trans, axle inners). People have a hard enough time keeping the 4t65 on the 3800's together, much less having to work with a 4t60 from the 3100. Just do it once and be done with it, so you don't have to go back and mess with it.
Doing a complete subframe dropout would not be an easy way to go- you're easier off just dropping in the engine/trans. A 95 century should be an A-body still, and with the 3100 in there, the lower 3800 mounts should bolt right in. You'll just need to make upper mounts on the radiator support (assuming your 3100 is a side mount). I just think modifying a w-body or h-body cradle to fit would be a lot more work than needed for the swap. The only way I would do this is if you were crazy about making it a race car, then I would grab a 00+ impala aluminum cradle and swap that in- but like I said- a lot more work that route.

Well, this isn't a motorswap, it's called a top end swap. You need the entire top end off a L67 engine (LIM, SC and fuel rails, pulleys, balancer)
HeavyChevy3800 did a top end swap. Check out his thread, and search up on it.

You don't want a series 1 you want a series 2. The series 1 had the M62 and didn't make anymore horsepower than the series 2 3800 n/a that is already in your car.
Look for an L67 out of a 98 or newer gtp, regal gs, etc. Or you can get an L32 out of an 04+ grand prix that will drop in basically the same as an L67 but will have the more efficient gen 5 blower.
