Has anybody put the K&N air charger that's originally for the 5.3 Impala in their Monte 5.3? I was thinking of buying one for my Monte cause I think the Monte and Impala have the same engine layout but I want to make sure it will fit before I order it.

I'm guessing it would fit--but I'm not sure. It seems like the Monte/Lumina relationship is now between the Monte/Impalas.

man, that's a small air filter... looks like less surface area than the stocker...
and it looks like engine heat can get in through that gap between the shroud and the tube/coupler... you got it lined up right?

Looks a lot smaller in the pic but its about the size of a bowling ball. and after driving around for about 30 mins it was noticably cooler in there then the engine side. And ya the hole is a little big for the tube its lined up right just a big hole. i'm thinking of sealing it up.
