In my opinion, YES. Only if it is a dual exhaust setup and each cherry bomb is on a seperate pipe. You could do 2.5" pipe all the way back to a Y, then use 2.25" pipe with two cherry bombs and your choice of tips. Should sound pretty deep and give more "grunt". It will have no rasp, which is good! Hope that helps.

what i was going to do was go to the junk yard and get the dual set up from a Z-34 or LTZ and cut the ressonators off and the mufflers and replace them with cherry bombs, how do you guys think that would turn out?

its really raspy over 3500 RPM under WOT it gargles like hell its ruff i dunno how 2 would sound i heard warped911 LTZ 3800 with 2 cherrybomb and the stock resenator sounds mad nice no gargle or raspiness but that can be couz of 3800, if u do get th z34 and ltz leave the resenator after the cat still oni think it will sound good

there aint no stock resenator on my car done chopped those off the first day i had the car. theres another cherry bomb right after the cat inplace of the resenator.. a 3100 would sound about the same as my car with the same setup. i would think. if 97luminals put in another glasspack further upstream from his tail pipe it would get ride of the rasp and that gargley sound he's talkin about. sounds good.   some one asked what are cherry bombs and where to get them. a cherry bomb is just a cheap brande of glasspack muffler. the rang from 10$ to around 30$ they come in 4 sizes that i know of 12in 24&27in and 36in.

theres a few hundred other companies that make glasspacks aswell. prices range from 5 bucks upto 300. i havnt seen any that cost more than that yet.. i bought a new setup of glasspacks and am just waiting on some time to put them on.

i bought 1 of these to go right after my cat

and 2 of these to exit out the rear. the pic links are for the 3in but they look the same and sound the same.

Mike, you are a dumb ****.

You've heard / seen my car on more than 1 occasion with the dual glasspacks and stock resonator.

IN fact, you have the video of it.

I think two might be quieter than one. I dunno. Never heard 1. I heard Joe's exhaust a while back. I think he had one twister. I had to glasspacks and it sounded good to me. I forgot how it sounds now since I no longer have my car.

I remember u. I talked to you awhile back. But yeah you remember how my exhaust sounded. Those were dual 20 inch glasspacks. I think the longer the glasspack the quieter it is. But I'm not sure. Go with two 20 inch glasspacks. You'll be happy.

I dont really remeber what that sounds like though, once I put headers on the sound completly changed.

i just think it's funny that 1/2 the LS guys and some of the other montes on here think straight pipes or glasspacks can replace every single piece in the exhaust like the cat, resonator, mufflers, everything, and be better for performance and sound .  i know it makes it easier on your wallet to buy just pipe, but damn.

I never said it could replace EVERYTHING.

But I just don't understand paying $90 for a set of flow*******s, when you can spend $25 on a pair of glasspack mufflers.

Yea I gotcha.

I just think they are great as mufflers for this engine.

OF course, the guy at the exhaust shop didn't think so. . . (contract with flowmaster). . . because apparently flowmasters make my car sound more like a v8 than the glasspacks ever could.   what a dolt

I have

crap crap crap

the only reason I still have glassies is because I threw them on to quiet the exhaust down after going from boost to NA again and the 3" piping was horribily loud.

I want to rebuild it all once again before next season with a set of borlas, flowtech afterburners or magnaflows
