Borla, Magnaflow XL, or Flowtech Afterburner. If you don't want it raspy I suggest you leave the resonator on.

anyone ever put a bullet on a monte carlo? and does it have the sound I'm looking for?  my brother-in-law has one on his 4 banger s-10, it the sweetest sounding s-10 i have ever heard.

so far I'm thinking borla.

another question is how do i unbolt the exhaust from behind the cat?  i have hit with every anticease i got and put alot of muscle in it, any tricks to get it off?

more muscle, i broke mine loose the other day and ran straight cat for liek 5 mins, that freakin cat is restrictive as hell cause it sounded like a dumped flowmaster....I have a flowmaster with no resonator and i like it specially about 2k rpms it sounds nice, i had a afterburner on my s-10 but it had the 4.3 v6 in it it sounded really good for a single 2 1/2 exhaust

Whatever u go with, dump it before the back of the car, best if it was in the middle.  Then u will get a very deep note to it.

i think a magnaflow muffler is going to give you the results you're looking for.

A bullet muffler would sound like ass on our cars..

Borla or Magnaflow is your best bet.. to not have any rasp leave the resonator/cat in. And don't dump it under the vehicle if you like your eardrums. That and its not legal for safety reasons.

towards the back, the stock pipe is about 2".  if you buy a muffler, get 2.25, and it should slip over, and then weld.

guess your best bet is measure the outside diameter of the pipe where you're going to clamp.  it may be easier to measure the circumference and calculate the diameter based on that.  then find a muffler that would slip fit.  you can clamp if you want, but it's more prone to leaking or falling off.

ok, i guess i will have it welded on then.

will a high flow cat make any difference in the sound? if so is it deeper or what?

a highflow cat will give basically the same sound as straight-piped, but you will actually be able to pass emissions
