Diablo Sport Predator Tuner LS4 Settings

I purchased a Diablo Sport Predator Tuner (U7191) for the LS4 recently. I chose the 91 Octane Tune, lowered my rpms at idle, and pushed back my shift points a little. Other than that the car is completely stock, I took it out for a good run through the country roads, and it seems to have improved a bit. The shifts sound better, and I can tell the car is running more rich than usual. I did run it against my buddies vette, I'll post that in the races.
Does anyone else have one of these? If so I'd like to see if you changed anything else, and what worked for you.

im confused, why did you lower your idle? and you mean you made your shift points lower?

There was no performance reason behind it really. Saves gas maybe, the engine does have a deeper tone at lower idle, i like that.
Also, it now holds out the gear 400rpms more than before when I run it all through 1st or 2nd.

was gonna call BS on changing the shift points - LOL - cuz we don't have any tranny support yet... but I see what you did - you changed the rpm limit in Drive - made it higher...
note: that change will only work if you manually shift through the gears... if you just put it in D and drive it, the ECM will still control the shifting at the stock rpms no matter what you have them set to.
how low does yours idle normally??? mine idles at about 600 rpm's... I can't see dropping that by 400 down to only 200rpms and having the car still be able to idle...
not knocking these forums here, as this is where I got my start a couple years ago, but these forums here tend to cater to the older V6's... and the 5.3L forum here seems to take weeks/months to get a reply to anything... you need to come over here - MUCH more support for our cars... and you'll get replies within minutes/an hour...

also, you need to get your fueling dialed in - you'll get MUCH better performance - faster throttle response, quicker acceleration, harder/stronger pull - especially at highway speeds when passing... go through this sticky over at Diablosport's forums and get some logs done.

after you have a log saved to your PC as a .csv file, me and another guy built a custom app to go through the log and analyze the data for part-throttle fueling (LTFT's) and the app actually tells you what you need to adjust your injector slope to:

and while you're at it, you might as well sign up over at Diablosport's forums:

We don't necessarily cater to any particular engine...it just so happens that most of our members own cars that have the V6 engines as the V6 engines have been standard in the monte carlo for 10 years.
Since the 5.3L V8 was only put in a small percentage of the montes and only for two years, we do not have a lot of members that actually own one or have experience with them.
As our content and post replies are posted by members and not many members are familar with the 5.3L V8 engine, of course the replies are going to be less than those at a forum dedicated to that particular engine series!

I realize that... that's why I pointed him to other forums where there is more support available for his/our particular cars/engines...
thanks!
