OK, so theres scattered info about this in numerous threads, so I'm putting it all into one.

Gauge cluster - 5 size 194 bulbs. The cluster has a twist base which self lock, so the bulbs you buy should have a wedge that will go into the base. For best results get leds that emit light from all sides, otherwise youll get a spotlight effect.

HVAC controls - 4 size 74 twist lock bulbs (10mm). The bulbs you buy should have a base on them, which will twist right into the controls

Locks - total 2 size 74 twist lock bulbs (8mm)

Headlight/window switches/gear indicator, you will have to buy bulbs with wire leads, and wire in your own.

As for a website to buy from, I used www.autolumination.com. Never a problem, fast shipping, great selection.

My car is done with blue LED's. NiftyMonte's car is done in red.

Not a sticky, but I will add your write up to the FAQs that I have been working on. You'll get writer's credit, of course.

Will you be keeping those pictures hosted permanently, or do you want us to host them on our servers?

Anyone else that has a write up that they would like to contribute, you can send it to me and I will add it to the FAQ section at the bottom of the board that I've been working on. This will soon be moving to the top of the forum directory. You will get credit for all submissions and if you have pictures, please submit them too and we can host them on our servers!

We appreciate any help!

You can email them to me and I will have Joe put them up on the MM servers. ssgirl@gmail.com

Thanks!! Hopefully the FAQ section will help lessen the instances of the same questions over and over.

redid my gear selector tonight and took a pic of how i did it, works really well and looks just bright enough. drilled a hole just big enough for the leds to slide in and used a little hot glue to make sure they stayed in place.

Nope. 6th gen cluster bulbs are "not serviceable/replaceable". Changing them requires desoldering the old ones and soldering new bulbs. Or LEDs with resistors if you want to go that route.

I know this is a old topic but I went to autolumination.com and I don't see where the difference between the 8 and 10mm type 74 bulbs are for the HVAC switches and locks. Am I just missing it?

I'm with Z34coop on this one, I have everything turned green except for the HVAC controls. On autolumination.com there are a few different types that I saw might work, but I'm still a bit confused. Which type bulb was used in the pictures?

Bronx............

I just had my gauge out to change the steppor motors and I was going to change my leds, but the leds are all soldered in. None are the wedge type you described above. I have an 05 LS. What year were you describing? Any idea of the bulb numbers I need?

thanks.

Like Eric mentioned, Bronx had a 5th gen lumina. All of the lights you would need can be bought online, however, I can't remember exactly what leds you would need. You might want to check out bbengineer.com, as he works on these clusters.
