I felt like this forum needed a new thread!

So my average mpg's have gone steadily down since owning the car :). But I think that will probably level off and get a bit better after my initial "testing" phase. But a friend of mine was in town yesterday so I had the urge to try turing t/c off for the first time... spun the tires just to the point of starting to smoke, you could easily just sit there and burn them off.... I owned the lady next to me in a jeep compass haha. It was fun to say the least, but that will be a very rare occurance due to me not wanting to ruin my brand new tires, and the transmission as well. But hey, I have powertrain for 2 years. I've never gotten a ticket before, but my friends are predicting I will with this car ;) I'm not the type of person to drive recklessly or race, but I'm waiting patiently for my chance to smoke some punk off the line.

heck you don't even need to de-bage, I am sure you will find some moron out there who thinks that all GM cars are magically slower now because the company is having issues.

check the nut on the rack and see if it's wet down there. That's where they like to leak.

Mines all city driving, I believe average mpg's were 15.5 when I bought it, I dipped into the 13's due to some 'spirited' driving for the first month, and now I'm back to 14 something I think. But I need to reset it and start fresh.

I reset after I get gas because if you don't it will take longer to change and adapt to your driving style.

oh yeah... and mine is withOUT the DOD... I disabled that years ago, and tuned my car.... so I'm runnin on all 8 cyl. all the time... and my mileage went UP....

unless you do mainly and a LOT of highway driving, the DOD doesn't really do much for ya at all...

I second that. It's kinda a waste and IIRC only yeilds like a 3% mpg increase.

Yeah i wouldn't have bought it if I was worried about the mileage. I have a short city commute to work. (and soon train). I reset it yesterday, and did a bit of driving today so i'll have to go check it.

The new SS is good for high 13s pretty sure, even the L67 monte ss couldn't do that stock.

yep... mid/high 13's...

it's the fastest/most powerful production Monte Carlo ever made by GM...

303hp / 323 ft.lb. torque... compared to L67's Supercharged - 240hp / 280 ft.lb torque...

so, no... no other stock/production Monte can touch it...

hey man, haven't seen ya around here in awhile, welcome back.

Yeah I knew the 06/07 is clearly faster but I just wasn't sure what the stock 1/4 mile times are for each. I could take good guess, but I knew somebody would know better than I would.
