Very cool man. Ever though of filling the circles with LED's?

I think it would be cool to have both rings wired to the park lights. Then when you turn the indicator on, inside the ring will blink while the ring stays constant. Same goes for brake, ring stays constant but the whole inside lights up when you apply the brakes. This will requie both rings to be filled with LED's, and i'm sure that's a lot at least 20 LED's.

I don't know if the way i explained it makes sense, lol.

x2 on filling the circle with LEDs. For two reasons: I agree that it'd look pretty cool that way, and IMO that might not be enough of a light with just the ring to get someone's attention when you hit the brakes.

Good work though, they look sweet.

eh idk... I think these would get more attention, being they go from all black to red....

look at the leds that come on my car stock on my car (in the sig) i think Mr. clean's actually have more than mine haha

anyone ordering in the future from eric... to get the same design I had would cost a bit more since more parts are needed.

I like it. Be expecting a PM from me in the coming weeks. I just started working at my old job again. Might be able to afford some LEDs finally.

I've been thinking about doing the third break light with LEDs too. Dunno how hard it would be but it might be something to look into.

if you went into massive production or wanted to patent it, I would suggest building a vac-u-form style machine. make your own lenses so you would not have to pay for black-outs.

check around, plenty of different designs you can work with depending on budget.
and sorry, lol I look at things real close, but at a quick glance you cannot see inside them, i just looked at it a little too long :P

i was going to make a bunch a while back but when it came time, only like 2 people were interested out of the 10 or so that were initially in... since then just one thing after another, between school, getting the new car concentrating on work and modding that, now back to school again and our fall baseball season coming up just not too much time...

I wont be making them, so if Mr. Clean wants to make this a regular thing, its all his... I just posted my pics for reference because we were talking about my design and went thru with him everything i used and how i did it

but keep in mind, they are NOT CHEAP, and not much profit margin on them at all so keep that in mind while you try to offer him less... yes they are time consuming and tedious too lol

bad times to really try and make things to sell, but really it could get cheaper if a company was interested in buying said design (of course goes all the way back down to how many are interested in buying.

a vac-u-form table would help greatly making it more professional, but requires good acrylic and an big enough oven to make 2-4 sets at a time, if Eric was interested in selling, Id pop on the Class. and get a GI on how many would pay for his time and material to make them.

Those do look really good. Nice work.

On the topic of trying to sell them, I hate to say it but good luck. You will have a dozen people say they are in and then back out when it is time to make them or they will have you make them and then not pay you. My advice would be money up front and only have serious inquires. Just some advice from a guy that has tried selling custom pieces on this forum and has been screwed over....

How much are you charging for labor mrclean?

Also, would it be possible to list the materials needed for these LEDs tails.

I bet they would look brighter without the tint.

So u need the tails tinted in order to do the LEDs. Can't u take a stock tail with normal lense?

that lens has to be demolished in the process, and even if you used the stock red lens, it would defeat the purpose of LEDs, because it would baffle the light output

they are tail covers. If you look they don't have the crease in them that flow with the body line. Not that they don't look bad it's just something people mention when deciding to night shade or do covers.

It this case the covers become the new lens. They remove the red lens and make the covers fit as the lens instead of a cover.

I wonder if I could do tinted tails then. With the LEDs, it would be brighter than stock bulbs so it would shine through the tint better.

Food for thought I guess. I might just hold off on LED tails till next year. Got other stuff to get done on my baby.

LOL! It made sense to me.... I kinda like that idea, too. Would also make them a bit more visible, too, I would think....

But, very nice, mrclean. :)
