But does anyone have one? Or know somebody who does. I'm curious as to how much really changes. Thanks in advance. Couldn't find anything in the search.

I am not sure if any active members here have done that swap.

Check out http://60degreev6.com

they specialize in the 3x00 60v6 engines and there are quite a few people there who can tell you all about it. Be sure to search their forum, lots of good hardcore tech info there.

There was a member on here who had built one but it wasn't in his monte, not sure where he went. I'm still working on mine hoping to have it done sometime in the near future (preferably this summer but I need the money for it). That list at the WOT Tech store and the 60 degree forum are great sources and there are a few members that have done hybrids in other vehicles (Beretta for one). You can make it a complicated build or a fairly easy one depending on the parts you choose and how much you want to do with it. Let me know if you have any questions I should be able to answer them.

That would be Jon.
He's the one who helped me drop the 3400 into mine. Have you ever talked to him?
Last I heard, he was kicking himself in the butt for not doing a full 3500 instead.
That's what I had planned on swapping into my 96 before I bought the Monte.
Now I'm selling both L-bodies as-is.
I have plans for that Monte, though ... when the engine dies.
Something never attempted before, or at least I haven't heard of it yet.

check the nut on the rack and see if it's wet down there. That's where they like to leak.
