So my mom has been complaining about my car "leaking." There are spots on my garage floor, and this is the only spot where i can see something comming from. The spots seem to be oily, but doesnt seem like oil or coolant. Any ideas?

This is where i find the only spot under my car that looks like it could be coming from.

That's where one of the motor mounts are. Leak looks watery and probably leaking above that, close somewhere. Look around the area of the water pump.

More info needed...what do ya see when you look from under the hood? That looks like either power steering fluid or engine oil.

probably. Beacause i just re-did my coolant a week ago. My timing cover/water pump gasket is good for sure.

take it down to the local carwash and hose out the engine bay. wait and see if it comes back. if it doesn't...you're golden...if it does you've got issues.

it could be the fluid from the mount itself as well. the front mount is a "Hydrolic" mount.. its filled with liquid slime... when it tears it leaks slop... but definatly wash it all off and check the mount... I replaced mine with a solid rubber mount from the parts store.. they list a Fluid mount and a solid mount.

Solid rubber mount:

That's usually where it drips from when the front crank seal is leaking, but really it could be anything leaking above that area you just have to look.

One of two things.

1) Your front crankshaft seal is leaking oil around the pulley. Depending on mileage this does happen. Mine did it, I think.

2) The front of your oil pan is leaking fluid. Involvs R+R of the oil pan and frnnt cradle.

The easiest way to tell is if the car is up on the lift. Using a flashlight look at the oil pan area and where the crank pulley meets the timing cover. If there's no oil on the timing cover just below the crank pulley your leak is from the oil pan.
