Help
Hey guys, I wanted to start planning a meet for us this spring. My thoughts are that we have a meet at a drag strip in either MI, IN, or OH this spring. I want to make sure that all members are welcome to whatever is planned for this spring, but I really want to get something going.
We have some good members with some pretty nice cars here, so believe me this will be worth doing. LMK what you guys think.

I'm in if the gtp is running by then. I vote for nowalk but not sure how long of a drive it is for everyone. But it is hands down one of the best tracks.

This would be great. Let me know if you need any help with anything Zipper. Also, I know a lot of people like Muncie for the track and we have a pretty big GP section here that we could invite from IndyCGP if that would be of interest to anyone. That's just a suggestion though.

Okay, I just looked up the schedule's for 3 tracks so far and here's what's going on:
US131 Motorsports Park (Martin, MI):

No 2010 schedule posted yet.

I'd be down for something withen a reasonable distance. I hate to drive far to go to a race track when I got Milan which is less than 40 minutes away. For a meet though I'd be down, defiently make a few track passes too. I'll stay tuned! BTW I'm in south east Michigan.

I'd actually like to make it to one of these for once. If its in Ohio or Indiana (In? still learning the shorts lol) both are within range. Although Ohio would be fantastic as I could stop in to Morad and pick up some engine parts while I am down there

My poor LS wouldn't be much of a run, lol. But I'd really like to go to a meet as well. I'm in Ohio but the IN one would be closer then Ohio. Both several hours drive though.... so I could consider either. I'd have to see come closer to time.

I just checked Milan's website and they don't have their 2010 schedule up yet. I'm glad that there' some interest in this. It would be awesome to meet up with a lot of you guys.

FYI unless it's on a sunday or during the week of spring break I probably wouldn't be able to make a road trip till summer.

Yeah, school is going to get in the way of this meet for me as well, if it is in the spring, and not when I am on spring break.

The only problem I think I would have is the original week the meet is/was scheduled would be the week before finals. I'm sure a lot of our spring breaks won't be at the same time so that might throw that plan out the window. Maybe mid/late May?

You know, I actually might be okay with multiple meets, lol. Whatever happens, I do plan on running in April and I'm open to a potential meet in May or something as well. I have to do this quickly though because I'm getting married in June and then I dunno what'll happen, lol.

Right now, I'm doing as much as possible before the big day because once that day happens, there won't be nearly as much of my income available for parts for the Monte. But I will do what I can.
I'm still looking at an April date for the meet/race. Haven't made any decisions though.

I just checked Milan out and they have the 2010 schedule posted. T&T on April 3rd and then every Wednesday after that in April.
