That black thing right befor it goes to ruber is a check valve.

97 does not have an air pump your fine. Just make shure that valve isnt leaking. If it is you can't just get a plug is special metric thread. You can cut the tube and weld the tube end above the nut or take the nut out cut and pull the tube out and take a penny and put it in the hole and use the nut to crush it sealing it up.
I can have my cradel on the ground in under an 1h so and it is a sh*t load easyer to work on. My personal preference.

If your going to have a engine lift you may as well. You make a dolly with good wheels and you lower the cradel on set parking brake and use thelift to lift the body up and you just pull the hole thing out from under and lower the body on to some old tires.
