Changed this topic to my Car Mod.. Decided id stop posting thousands of topics, make one long one. Kind of like a sidewinder thing. haha. Descriptions of mods are under photos.

We'll start from the first mod. July of 2009:


Mod: Rear window banner +15hp and tinted tails/panel, as well as painted back of trunk to look like a monte panel. haha.



Mod: Brickyard Spoiler and side trim taken off, and window banner off. Painted Chrome Trim around windows.



Mod: Monte tailights, Painted Monte Rear panel and hubcaps to make it look somewhat nicer. haha.

August 2009


Mod: ltz/z34 front bumper on and painted.




Seats, center counsel and dash bezel out of a 99 z34.








re-did doors myself, black leather ontop, black carpet on bottom.




Front bumper wet sanded and polished.




Hubcaps off, Trim rings on. Painted rear bumper chrome trim to black.


September 2009



Dual exhaust, and new monte rear panel (paint was peeling on the other one).


October 2009


Picked up '99 Monte z34 rims.


November 2009


Badgeless and painted rear panel, and erics tinted LTZ tails.


January 2010


Painted Rims, Calipers, got ventshades and headlight covers.





Got flowmaster exhaust , 2" catback to 2.75" Outlet.

love it! its loud at low rpms, and gets actually pretty quiet at higher rpms, so perfect to me.

I say go for it. Although you live up north somewhere - legal tint up there is probably what, 50%? 70%?

its 50% front windows, 35% rears... Thats why im trying to decide, because id like to do 20 all the way around, but im trying to think if its really worth it. Eric just got a "fix-it" ticket last week a few countys away, and he has 20's all the way around. Anyone have any pics of 35% on there car?

I don't have any pictures readily available right now, but if you look me up on Cardomain (member ID: nitehawkmc), you can look at my windows. The front two windows are 35%. The rear is 20% though.

Nifty, with the black interior that makes alot of sense. I think i may do my fronts 35% and my rears 20 along with the back window.

that's a sexified lumina!! how much was the exhaust system total? and where did you get the tips? haha. now all you need is a monte carlo gauge cluster with a tach!

I got the exhaust system from someone i know with a gtp, he only wanted 100 bucks. . The tips, he got from autozone i believe. They say "3A Racing" On the top, but there are magnaflow tips very similar to them, and resonated just like mine. And the tach, i didn't wanna deal with the shifter cable - i have a column shifter, so i just went out last week and bought a small steering column mount tac - ill post up a pic of that. I love clean interiors so i didnt wanna get a huge ricey one, this one is acceptable haha.

I think your Lumina looks great man. The back door panels are especially impressive. Good idea about the 4 cup holders too, I wish I had say...more than 1! lol

Looking good for sure, I like how yours has no rust I'm still fighting with it on mine. I really like what you did with the door panels also, something I want to start looking into once I delve deeper into the interior.

Haha, my massive rust spot near my gas tank that is half-@$$ fixed is photoshopped out . Other than that, i dont have any rust for the most part.

If you fix the rust spot make sure you put some separation between the foam and the sheet metal.

March 2010:

Hood decal/vinyl on. Ive been wanting one of these for a while. I was going to get it bigger, but eric came up with a really good position for it. Turned out really good i think.




Annnd i got my windows tinted today . Did 30% on the sides, and 20% on the rear window. (ill get better pics soon), it got too dark to fast tonight...

i kind of like the sticker, i think it goes pretty well with your theme you have going and the tint looks good, good choice

I think I'd have to see that sticker on the hood, but in that shot it looks really nice because it blends in without really popping out.

Got the Torque Thrusts on. Looks sick. The car sits about an inch lower with them too. No clearance problems at all! And yes, the 2 rears need new tires in the next few weeks.

I think you'd be alright with just a little more sidewall

^^ x2... if youre getting the rears, maybe just spring for the fronts at the same time... you shouldnt really mix and match anyway.. 17" tires arent too expensive
