Just teasing you guys. I did make my own intake though today and it turned out pretty good for the first one I made. Here are some pictures of it. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any questions. The intake size is 4" all the way until the throttle body where it goes back to 3".

It is roughly 12"-15" long not including the filter. The flashing blocks the length of the whole thing. It looks bigger in person, trust me ;)

I was referring to the position of the "shield" (??), that would be more effective if it were up against the fender. Unless you just pulled it back so you could get the filter in the picture, or is the filter too long to get it in the fender any farther?

It's a little bit of both. I pulled it out to show it, but it doesn't fit flush against the inner fender. It just needs stretched out over the filter to fit, but the filter is a little bit too long also.

$40?

there is not much to that you could not have done yourself with a quick run to the hardware store.

granted it did save you the time of making one, that is worth something.

Not really. I bought two feet of the tubing from ZZP. The filter starts right about that lip where the fender well starts, so it is a pretty straight shot into the blower.

eww stock manifolds :P

The Wizaired is very functional, I just don't like all the room it takes up. Pop the headlight of at the track and it's like ram air!

Your intake looks good, i'd just see if you can modify it a bit more and screw the shield to the fender. It would look allot cleaner that way. I really should run a HAI and stock thermostat in the winter. My car barely warms up on the drive to school, and it's a 35 minute drive.

Chris,

I loved the way the wizair looked, but it did take up way too much room. That was my only complaint about it. As for the shield, it does fit better, but I just pulled that away to take pics, however, it doesn't sit flush next to the fender. I also agree with the warming up part. It takes roughly 25 minutes to warm my car up when it is below 32* outside.

And oh yeah, those manifolds will be replaced with headers here shortly. They should be here Tuesday as long as we don't get a lot of snow like they are predicting :)
