I decided that I'm tired of waiting to unveil Project Rise Up. There will be a video coming this spring on Youtube once I have the Monte dyno tuned again but I will let the pictures explain whats happened so far:

lol. I didn't realize you called it :D I'm not exactly sure about how much boost I'm going to run but for now I don't plan on going over 12 psi. I've been trying to work out all of the bugs and so far it's going good. I haven't pushed it very hard but so far I've ran it up to 5psi at about half throttle. It's fun :D When I first tried it out I smoked the tires from a 25mph roll at half throttle. Didn't expect that at all.

The procharger is a Novi 1k and it did set me back a little but that's okay. The important thing is that my Monte is unique and so far I'm continuing that ideal. I am working on how to fit the intercooler on the Monte but that might come a little later.

Remember, the one time you were like, it will be unique to the w-body world. I was like, it has to be a CSC. Anyway, say goodbye to your trans, trust me, I am pretty sure I am going to have to buy another this summer, aka I am going to bake my old tires off (that's another story)

So is the car tuned? I would like a picture of the serpentine belt setup. Also, why are you planning on limiting yourself on boost? I'd run as much as possible with keeping good AFR/timing.

How does she sound? Whine pretty good or what?

Actually I think I do remember when you said that. It was either in my back seat thread or my heads thread I'm not sure right now but I do remember that. lol

The Monte was going to be tuned on Friday but my car started consuming oil (6 quarts in 100 miles) so I had to figure out what was going on. I found out on Saturday that it was a bad PCV valve and then once that was replaced everything was good. It now looks like the Monte won't be tuned until March sometime sadly :(

As far as the low boost, I'm going to take it easy due to the tranny. Once I rebuild the tranny then I want to look at doing more changes, perhaps a Novi 2k :D

The whine is interesting but I'll let a video do the talking there.

Thanks. Also, thanks for the suggestion I wasn't really paying attention to the battery tray but you're right it needs to be cleaned up. It's also funny because my original intention was to do a whipple build but once you started your project I decided I would look for something else. The CSC was up for sale on Clubgp and I decided that was perfect for me. I just installed it last week and it's already a lotta fun. I just wish I would have made an "official" 13 second NA run but oh well. I don't care anymore.

I'll post some more pics soon. When the PCV valve went out oil spewed all over my front header and now it's black. But maybe I'll post a few more pics tonight anyways. With the CSC there are 2 mounts but one of the mounts is basically the bracket to the CSC itself.

I didn't realize that Pimpium had a CSC setup back in the day. I've always admired his Monte. Didn't he run a 12 second flat 1/4 or something like that? Very nice.

Zipper, his name is Justin and he is on CGP, but he hasn't been active on there for a while. His screen name is Abysalone - his cardomain ID is 2000montess.

If you want/need more info, just let me know and I'll give him a call. I'm pretty sure he has a NOVI 2000 FWIW.

lol. Yeah, I wanted to make sure that you didn't tell that guy that I was interested in his kit. Plus I didn't want to sound too interested in a CSC setup because I wasn't quite ready to reveal what I was up to. I've actually owned the kit since Jan/Feb of 2008 but I FINALLY installed it last week. I can't wait to get the car tuned.

Thanks nitehawk for the info. I'm more curious to see what another CSC build is like. I'll be taking a look at his car soon.

That's bad ass zipper! Good luck with the kit! I wouldn't worry to much aout your trans, your gonna be making more power theres no doubt... but the way the csc builds power throughout the rpms is actually fairly easy on the transmission vs a roots blower or turbo. I miss my csc kit! (but still love the turbo lol)
