Soooo... I drew this way back when I could actually draw somewhat decently. But just went and colored it to match what I'm going to do to my car this spring when I paint it...

Oh yeah. i also have a different spoiler... guess the picture wouldn't show it much anyways.





Drawing is kinda sh*tty but you like the simple paint scheme idea?

I'm not really a fan of stripes on any car, especially the 5th gen Monte's or Lumina's. I don't think it would look "bad" but I wouldn't do it to my car. As for the silver side skirts, that would probably look pretty good on a black car. If I were to do that I'd also do the bottom of the front and rear bumpers like Chibi's car without the red

I would do that but personally I think the front bumper being silver is weird. lol

Also i don't want to knowingly copy anyone.

I'm pretty sure Chibi bought his car like that cuz I know some come that way. It wouldn't be the whole bumber being silver, it would look like this guy's car http://mymonte.com/d...c/28609-my-car/. You can also see what Chibi's car looks like in the second post in his sig if you don't already know

i like stripes....but im biased to that opinion

Just repaint it black. Stripes are more for performance cars, whearas our cars are family sedans. You know what i mean? But, do what you want... haha.

ouch. that hurts me! i have always liked stripes. I really like the idea of the silver skirts as well. I say go for it. But i would have someone put on vinyl stripes. That way if you change your mind after a few weeks you can just take em off.

I already have $500 a gallon silver paint though... for free
so i'mma use as much silver as possible but still have black base

Yeah. i seen his car already. and i actually might do that but have a silver stripe go up around the wheels. I'mma draw it up tomorrow

I don't think stripes + side skirt would look good. Too much going on IMO.

And just to throw it out there, in 2000 they did not invent the High Sports Package yet, so my car is missing that whole lip kit that could come from the factory in silver. In 2002 they made an Dale Earnhardt / RCR edition that looks just like mine but with the high sports package.

My car was purchased and ordered all black, and in 2000 a Body shop did my paint job with genuine GM colors, but it was not an option from the factory in 2000.

can i ask you a question? are you wanting a design nobody has? or are we aiming for a different look? I have a design layed out for a paint scheme for mine, but decided to black it out in the end...id sell it to you ;P

I'm lookin for a unique look... so noone else will have it and it will be different

It's hard for me to like something that's unique without being over the top, I'm very picky when it comes to custom paint jobs
