Just bought a Jet Performance chip for the monte today!!! available for 1996-2003 3.1, 3.4, 3.8 powered Gm vehicles. As a review this product is BOMB!!! chip increases power by 25 and torque by 30 and also fuel mileage by 2-5 miles per gallon. best thing i ever bought

this is the actually computer chip like a hypertech chip but jet performance. this aint no cheapy that sticks in the AIT sensor. its an actual chip

Wow. These people are getting more creative with their advertising. Best thing to do would be to send it back and get a real tune. If it was so easy, everyone would have a "jet chip."

okay seriously it works its a 200 dollar unit and has a monitoring system how much more do i have to say that its real and not some stupid cheap thing. and it really is that easy everyone could have a jet chip

No, it really is a waste and I'll tell you why. First off, list the parameters that the jet chip changes? Chances are, you don't know because it doesn't tell you.

Second, you got that for a steal, only $200? Wow that's great, but I hate to tell you, you coulda got a DHP pcm for $100, and the with the DHP I can tell you exactly what it does to increase power/fuel economy, but I won't until you list what your little jet-thingiemmbobber does.

Do you really think nobody has tested this before? If it were so great everyone on here would have one.

Were not trying to be dicks on here, were just telling you the facts. Just because you paid $200 for it doesn't mean it is any good. Honestly, if you send it back and save the money, that could be put towards some good parts for the car that WOULD make a difference.

first says shift points are changed and firmer shift, second changes air fuel ratio, third erases governor, fourth red line increased(mine is now at 6100 vs. 5500 stock) couple other reasons i cant remember the booklet is in my car

Sorry buddy, you got scammed out of $200. Maybe not the full 200 for the 3 or so things you mentioned but still... Even the professionals that do tuning specifically for these engines can not get an extra 25 horsepower from just a tune of the PCM.

Like it's been said already, if it was really that easy, everyone would have one but they don't.

of course they can get 25 out of a power programmer. look at diesel.... can give up to i've seen 250 more horse and about the same with torque and let me tell ya they fly!

Yes, but a lot of diesels run bullydog programmers or similar which are quite a bit more expensive (around $900 new) and diesels come detuned from the factory. Plus, ask them how long their stock trannies last with the tune set on "max" or it's highest setting. Anyways, that is like comparing apples to oranges.

Are you really trying to compare diesel engine tuning to gasoline engines? Those are two completely different things, you better do some more research.

Yes you can get a hundred or so hp out of a diesel, but I will guaruntee that even the best tuner in the world couldn't get more than maybe 20hp out of a stock 3100.

Seriously man, give it up. $200 for a "jet performance module" is a waste when there are much better options for much cheaper. I'm not saying it didn't change anything, it just can't do what some of the tuners and PCMs that are already out and tested by owners of these cars can.

okay i can find a programmer for a diesel for 400 bucks and also they are much more high tech and obviously if a company can guarentee you 250 horse power the thing will be 900 bucks. jet guarentee's mine so im gonna accept the fact with it does do 25 more horse its got an on off switch so dyno day here i come.

Increasing the boost and fuel management on a TURBO DIESEL is very different than a 3.1 litre V6. Note the emphasis on the TURBO and DIESEL part. Even pics wont help your argument so don't bother posting them. We are not trying to be mean but please don't be ignorant to people that have spent a lot of time and money on our hobbies and and interests. You trying to sell or or whatever you are trying to prove is basically telling us we are a bunch of idiots.

Your butt dyno may make you feel more power, but in reality it's probably sub par with a cold air intake and a basic tune up of the motor including plugs wires and an oil change.

I'll make you a deal. If you post up a video and dyno charts proving you made at least 25hp with this jet chip I will personally paypal you $50. This is how sure I am that the jet chip is junk. Trust me man, I and everyone here has been around for awhile and have already experimented with what does and what doesn't work.

okay but of course mine isn't completely stock i have a few minor mods that will add more to the programmer but why would i lie about something i bought and trust and know because i own one and know that it does make a difference. I had 3 ppl wanna take test drives and they all 3 have monte's and all 3 said it did make a HUGE difference if you dont believe me you can ask Chevyboy on here and gage but i dont think gage is allowed back on here but those were 2 of the 3 that will be able to tell you it made a HUGE difference

So with your other mods it probably good for 30 or 40 more horse, more than the guarantee of 25 right?

not so sure if it bases off of what other mods you have its just a chip goes throw the OBDII sensor like any other chip would do

If it works, that's great man. We are just saying that a lot of products have been tested and not all are as good as they seem. Honestly, you can feel the change in shift points and firmer shifts, but other than that, it PROBABLY is in your head. Go do a before and after dyno and let us know. That will help a lot with the claims. If your anywhere close to Indianapolis, we are having a dyno day on March 20 and you are more than welcome to come.
