I've got this gas leak intermittently doesn'tleak all the time and it does stop for awhile and comes back different fuel levels. The only constant is I get an evap error code then leak fast drips a lot. If I release the pressure in the Tank some times it will stop.
Haven't been able to get under it yet. Although the tank is wet on the bottom don't think its leaking.
Hoses from what I can see of them are dry.
My thought is a valve or something sticking onthe top of the tank. Sticks, leaks and throws a code
I should mention it is a 97 Lumina

Where Is The Gas Leaking

The Evap canister shouldnt have that much fuel in it to be constantly leaking. It could be one of the three lines on top of the tank or it could be the filler hose or vent hose. I'd start by checking all of the lines and hoses you can see and then drop the tank if you do not see anything.

Chances are your gas tank is rotted out, especially if it only leaks at high fuel levels. Usually the top half that you can't really see rots out and while there won't be a visible hole, the metal will be soft and you can probably poke your finger through it.
