[1996A-Z34]

Hey All, I have some spare $$$ lying around and have been wanting a louver for the longest! Everythign on the car that can be done has and I think the louver will finish it!

I have had louvers on all my previous car and they rock! They lower the Temp in the car by 15* Degrees on a hot day. Anyhow, does anybody have a pic with one on their monte? I know a lot of people will talk trash about why I am wanting to, but is it any different than wanting to put 22"s on a car??? Still a waste of money, but a waste of money that will make my ride look better in my eyes. Anyhow, I have a 96 Z34 Torch red, white stripe, and 17" Motegi Traklite 2s (black with Chrome Lip)

I have seen people with them have LEDs and neons underneath so at night it looks EVIL! Not my cup of tea but A for effort

I think I want it most for the fact that it will cover the rear speakers from UV rays, AND from people peaking in. My speakers in the rear are already fading as well as the back seat! I take care of my cars too much to let that happen

Yep, I have seen people do it for both the side and rear window louvers! Really neat to see that, but they have the inside windows tinted DAAARRRRK so it doesn't cause glare inside the car/truck/van

Yepper! I have been on the hunt for the infamous Side Louvers and would pay $100 Each side!But those are gone now

I've seen louvers on the rear side quarter windows of a Monte Carlo (which look sweet) but never on the back window.

Anyhow, did you find that from a retailer or from somebody selling? I remember somebody looking awhile ago and couldn't find it. I also feel like there was somebody on here that had the side louvres but wouldn't lend them to Brett (dykzeulb) so that he could copy them. At least i think that's how it went.

not trying to go against you, but no one, well maybe 2-3 people would be down with throwing 24's on a monte, not everyone. and i dont mean this in a bad way. to each his own, but in all fairness, not even half of the usual people who post would like 24's.

and niffty is just saying what he thinks. if u post something that someone may not like, be ready to be flamed. for example my thread on my " i <3 my w-body" decal. people flamed me.

on a positive note, bedies that pic zipper posted i have never seen one of these on a monte, so im excited to see what yours looks like

o now its 24's?!?!?! omg ahhhhhhhhhhh! its my opinion and last i checked most cars that have louvers tend to have the stereotype of a mullet driver (mustang and camaro) don't freak out, i said TEND to have STEREOTYPES. I have never actually posted on any of your threads other than this one unless you have multiple screen names. i get flamed for having the ss badge on the back of my car but i don't go around calling names. you must be why i have a -27 reputation.

have fun with your louvers as they are more than likely illegal because they hamper viewing out of the back of your car and they are not stock. and p.s. the mullet is a good look

It was me that tried getting them, there was a member on here, his name is nick, has a black monte with the louvers installed, I bugged and bugged and offered to pay for them twice over, and nothing, he wouldnt remove them and ship them so we could mold and remake/ copy them. I personally am not a big fan of the rear louver, but go for it if it is something you like, do itI hate seeing the same vehicle as mine around, if someone copies me, then I change my appearence, I am extremly OCD on anything and that is a big one. I still bug nick now and then to let me borrow them, but it doesnt look good. I was told when he sells the monte, I will be getting them.. so who knows.. maybe he will come around..

On a lighter note- I DID have a mullet a couple years back so nifty is 50/50 right (I only had one a a means to survive my first years in Kentucky!)
