Been wanting to do a LED conversion for my gauge clusters but haven't had to time to do till it got warmer out. So with summer getting here, I figured it was time. I found what size I need, 194 bulbs, with a wedge that will do into the base plus ones that emit light from all sides. My only question is which ones do I need, according to: http://autolumination.com/194.htm. I really cba to pull my gauge cluster out and look because it's a real pain to put back in. Mainly just the type of wedge I'm lost on. I had to do this for my HVAC controls and ended up getting the wrong ones. Boy what a pain that was.....

I know many of you guys have done LED bulb conversions for your gauge clusters. Anyone mind pointing me to the right type of 194 bulbs I need?

Personally I used these...http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/CornerSide-Marker-LED/White-LED/2-HID-6K-WHITE-SMT-5-p4481039-1-2.html

I use to have a coupon code but don't anymore.

Well I ordered one, just to see if it's gonna work and how it looks. If all goes well I'll order 4 more to complete the conversion.

Update: Works like a charm. However, I found out there is more than 5 of the 194 bulbs. There is actually 10 if I'm looking at the back of the cluster right. The guide here: http://mymonte.com/d..._1&#entry262107 says only 5 though. So is it 5 or 10? I would like to know this before I buy the rest.

Thanks.

PS: I'll get a picture tonight of the cluster so far.

Edit: I noticed that there are different types of LED bulbs that emit light from all sides. The one I got has 5 LEDs but I spend almost 9 bucks on just one. Ebay has some better prices though. There are however other ones that have just one LED but have inverted lenses that are said to emit light from the sides but doesn't look like they emit light from the nose. They cost a lot less but I dunno if the light output will be that good.

If I have to go the one with 5 LEDs then I'll look on ebay and see if I can found some good deals.

Got the rest of the LEDs yesterday and installed them. Took pic after I got home from work with my cell. Lovein it. Goes great with the blue dome/map lights and headunit. Now if only I could get my HVAC lighting to be as vivid as my gauges. Rest of the lights will have to wait, mainly the headlight switch, and door switches.

The dimmer works well with them. Personally I like it all the way up but at night mixed with my XM radio dock, and stereo headunit, and my gauges, it gets pretty bright lol.

check the nut on the rack and see if it's wet down there. That's where they like to leak.

@lilMonteZ34 - bought them from autolumination
@Bronx - Would if I found a cluster with a RPM gauge. Do I have to rewire stuff to get the RPM guage to work?
