Are there and tricks to winning an auction? I found a set of wheels that I really want, and I really want to win it. I've bid on things in the past and have tried to stay the high bidder as long as possible, but at the very last second I still manage to get outbid. Is there anyway to avoid this? Or to beat this? I've heard of sniping but there's so many ones I don't know which one to use, what do you guys recommend?

Chris,

Watch ebay very carefully and put your highest possible bid first because it will auto-bid you until you reach the max

stay online until the end... click "bid now" with about 30 seconds left, and then put your max.... if you outbid the current high bidder, that will leave the with no time to refresh, and put in another bid of their own

check the nut on the rack and see if it's wet down there. That's where they like to leak.

I also add in an extra nickel or something to my bid sometimes because if you happen to match the previous bidder's max bid, they'll win since their bid was first. If you add that extra 5 cents, you'll be the high bidder.

Yeah, wait till the very last few seconds, throw in your highest bid with like an extra few cents. I almost never bid on something early. Most people just get in there to jack the prices up.

You don't need to be high bidder the whole time. Actually I usually don't even bid until the last 30 seconds like said above. Bid then and put in the max you would pay.

i think the one I use is auctionsniper.com

Very easy. I only use it if it's something I really want. Give me your email address and if I recommend you we both get 3 free snipes :)... I've never paid for one yet

Dont bid until the 2 minutes, bid up until you are the highest, so you can get a feel for what the other guys is bidding with. then use one click bidding, keep clicking until the last second, I usually win that way.

Usually seems to drive the item price up higher by doing that anyways.

Make sure when you go into this, you establish a price that you will not pay more than for this product. So if you and some other person end up in a bidding frenzy, you don't spend insane amounts of money on something that you don't think is worth it.

Exactly then you end up paying way too much for it.
