I found a cheap, nice low mileage, in 8/10 shape 97 Lumina LTZ on Kijiji the other day. I took it out for a test drive lastnight, and WOW, it definitely made me miss my old Lumina LTZ... So I'm picking it up tommorow morning :). It is pretty clean for its age, and it has a bit of surface rust around the gas tank door, but these days, which car doesnt.... It needs a few things for safety check, but I cant beat the price I got it for! Heres a couple pictures of it.

man that looks like a decent looking car (minus the major rust on the gas door)! What's the mileage and how much did you give? No need for secrets here:) Does it have the 3.1 or 3.8L?

It had 166,983km when I bought it 6 days ago, today it has 168,121km. Thing runs mint too, and it only has a 3100, but it makes a decent daily driver, for what I paid. I only paid $350 for the car, and it has leather interior in pretty good shape. I did some body work on it the gas tank door is alot better than what it was! It has brand new brakes, new brake lines, tie rod ends, one inner and 2 outer tie rods, one lower ball joint, the left side needs replacing and a new muffler.. Overall, you cant find a deal like this, with this mileage! I never had a problem with it in the 1000+km I've put on it this week. I put my K&N drop in filter in it, and I tell ya, This thing gets AWESOME fuel mileage!!!!! Now I just need to finsh my Z34 for spring and I'll have 2 good daily drivers to boot. :)

i was wondering if going to the 3.1 when you were used to the 3.8 would cause you any grief....but i think you answered that already. Wondering if it still reminded you of your old one even with the smaller engine.

yeah, reminds me of my old 98 minus the power. I'd like to find another 98/99 LTZ like that again, but they're pretty rare around here, and I'll be glad to say, I'll never buy another 3100. Its reliable, great on gas over my 3.4 DOHC, but, the lack of power really does piss me off.

looks nice! is there something wrong with the bottom of the front bumper cover? looks like something is missing (there's a lot of sun shining through) maybe it's just the angle. That trim of lumina are definitely getting a little rare and harder to find.
