I am new to this forum, hoping to get the correct answer about intake manifold replacement for my monte. 2 parts stores & 2 junk yards ALL gave different answers! I need to replace my

PLASTIC manifold...call to order parts & I was told...Is it upper or lower? That year only has lower. That year has upper & lower. Those parts cant be bought aftermarket. Those parts can

only be bought from manufacturer. My favorite...WELL THE COMPUTER DOESNT SAY UPPER OR LOWER SO IT HAS TO BE UPPER!

We are trying to fix it ourselves and can't even get the answers we need. HELP!!!!!

There is an upper and lower intake manifold. The gaskets on these manifolds tend to go. The "plastic" manifold is your upper manifold, you can get those from numerous places, one of which is zzpperformance.com . When your replacing the gasket just do both the upper and lower while your at it...

When you take the engine cover off, it's the big black plastic piece right?

That's the upper intake manifold.

Having communication breakdown with parts store. what exactly is the right questions to ask as far as gaskets set w/ bolts. Getting the run around. We have someone who is going to fix this for us we are just trying to help him out and chase parts to save him time & us money?

The first mistake is you went to parts stores. Get your intake gaskets from a dealer.
