My girlfriend is looking at getting a Chevy Equinox or something in the GM lineup that is remotely similar (Vue, Torrent, Acadia). There are 2 that are here in town that are for sale and was wondering what MyMonte thought about them. She is looking at spending under $14,000. She loves these, but if we can't find one she wants, she will be looking at getting a 04+ GP.

I'm pretty sure we can get the blue one down to $14-$15K but she really likes the silver one.

Also, does anyone know of a good forum for the Equinox? Or does anyone know of any problems they have? We have looked at both at the dealership, and both have moisture in the passenger headlight, but that looks like it is it on the outside.

Edit: This is the GP GXP she is looking at

I say get an Equinox. Good gas mileage, and they're reliable AFAIK. I know two people with them, and they've had no problems whatsoever.

Unless you have kids or are planning on having kids go with the gp. It looks better and gets better gas mileage.

gas mileage on the Equinox is pitiful...

3.4L MADE IN CHINA V6... gets 17/23..

The GXP will get 18/28 and has 303 HP............

That grand prix is also a bit on the expensive side.. When I was looking at them you could get ones with around 40-50k for around 12....n Thats got 76k for about 14k...Unless she could get them lower I would find another...

My girlfriends mother just got a 4 cylinder 1st gen Vue...I went on a road trip with them, I was very surprised at the room on the inside..Rode nice, but you could tell the 4 cylinder was really working when merging/passing...Returns pretty good fuel mileage though..I think 22/28
