Well after much putting off my intercooler is finally a go!. Ordered all the parts yesterday that I needed from wbodystore and ZZP, and ordered all the gaskets I need from the dealserhip today. I have to send my snout to get rebuilt, so i'm sending that in to Farnsworth from GPONA. New bearings and snout seal. I might start taking the car apart today this way I can ship the snout. He has to get it, he rebuilds it and ships it out the same day he gets it, it's just the shipping that makes this time consuming. (3 days to get t him, 3 days back unless i do faster shipping but thats more $)

Anyways, i'm excited! To those who haven't seen the intercooler, here's some pics.

The core and old heat exchanger, sold that and got a stage 3 ZZP one <<--gonna look sexy as hell!

Looks nice, but IMO all those hoses and lines and clamps and such look like a hardware store mess. Are you gonna clean that up a little when you put it on?

Oh, and Farnsworth FTW- he rebuilt my old one for my monte back when he got my polishing done- very happy w/ it.

Started the teardown today. I got the fuel rails, injectors, and blower. I also separated the snout from the rotors so I can ship it to Farns in the morning. Have all the bolts and nuts organized and labeled in sandwich bags too. Here's some pics of it so far.

Tomorrow I will be: Draining oil and coolant (needs an coolant flush might as well do it), take off the bumper, headlights, LIM, pick up my gaskets from the dealership, and ship my snout to Farns.

I did order new ones, should be here today or tomorrow. Those are my winter/track wheels.

I wished I had a GTP too when I had my monte, but after having the GTP it's not a big deal at all. I would still have loved to have my monte.

Been looking at GTPs myself...

Car is looking great :) Are you shooting for a 3.0 or 3.2 pulley with that set-up?

I will have an update again later with more pics.

Are you going to rocker (or cam) the car since you have all of that apart anyway???

I wish, it sucks cause I have the valve covers and LIM off. I Could easily cam or rocker the car right now. I just can't spend the extra money, this IC is already costing alot as it is.

Edit: Is that your OTTO Racing STB? You could always just be a nice guy and ship me that?

Supercharger and valve covers look awesome Chris. What is the hardest part that you have encountered so far with it?

Thanks, I wanna do the dogbones and braces same paint to get everything to match. My friend told me I should clear it all too so I might do that.

Nothing was really that hard to be honest, this is the easy part. The process is just very time consuming, not necessarily hard. Putting everything back together is going to be the slightly difficult part. You might laugh, but the hardest part for me today was getting the damn radiator drain plug open, had to call the old man for that one, haha. Everything else is just simple disassembling.

Putting the IC on, cutting the hood, etc, is going to be the tricky part.

lol you don't see them when everything is bolted back up, I made sure and bolted them somewhere where'd they be hidden. I agree with you, the air horns really wake people the f*ck up on the road. Plus when my alarm goes off, it's loud.

Holy sh*t that blower case looks good, you sure you didn't sand the castings? Or did you just use a bunch of coats on it? Either way I like it.

Are you gonna cut your bumper support for the fmhe?

Thanks man. I didn't sand it, but it has 5 coats total. 3 light coats, 1 medium, and the last one I went really thick, lol. It's smooth to the touch, it's thick enough to cover the casting marks.

The ZZP HE is bolt-in, no cutting required. I might cut the bumper support though to raise it up a little, i hear that it might be a little too low with how they set it up.

Chris,

The frozenboost is "bolt-in" too, but it'll hang like 2" below the rest of the car.

Alright day 3 into the IC. I didn't get too much done today. I finished painting everything under the hood that I wanted to, and clear coated everything except for the dogbones and their brackets (It was getting a little too cold outside). So tomorrow I'll finish clearing those up. I also got a bunch of parts from ZZP today, woot! Take a look for yourself.

Alright, another day, not much done, lol. I:

-Changed the plugs, AL104's gapped to .050
-Took of the vacuum tree, PCV, and BBV from old supercharger, installed them to the new one.
-Installed the EGR block off plate to the headers.
-Clear coated the side braces and dogbone brackets, everything paint wise is done now.

It's still kinda cold out, but from tomorrow on it should be pretty warm. Not in too much of a rush cause i'm still waiting on some key parts. I wanted to put the valve covers on but I ordered the overlays from reflectiveconcepts.com, and it would be alot easier to put them on with the valve covers out.

Was running .055 with my current setup, figured with the added boost I should drop it a little.

Alright got a couple of stuff done today.

-Farns finished my snout and did an amazing jb.
-Cleaned Tb
-Finished porting the blower
-Installed TB to blower
-Took out bumper support and cut it for the heat exchanger
-Cleaned up the rust and painted the bumper support
-Took out and cleaned coolant level sensor (Light would always go on and off while driving)
-Installed valve cover overlays

Here's more pics as usual.

Is it just the reflection of the flash that makes that overlay look crooked in the middle? Lookin sweet, I'm curious how all the paint matched parts are gonna look completely reassembled. That's a lot of painted stuff but I'm sure it'll look good

Yea it's just the reflection in the flash. Unfortunately I can't get pics of it on the car even though it's installed because I taped them up until i'm done so they wont get dirty.
