Battery Relocation

I had an issue yesterday with my battery... it ran out of juice, lol , I have a decent sound system on it (2 premier 3000, amp, and an epicenter). my question is, it is a pain to remove the battery everytime I work on the car, or if I had to take it out. Has anyone relocated the battery to the trunk?, if so, did you run the cables thru the inside of the car, or the bottom of the car?. I want to install an Optima battery, that should keep the car running
Thanks
Thanks

Your battery shouldn't run out of juice unless you're running the system with the car off. Otherwise the battery just sits there and the alternator does the all the work.
As for relocating the battery, it should be pretty easy considering you've already run a power cable for your amp. What size wire did you run?

yeah I had my car off, :/ . I want to run a 2 or 1 gauge on it. but it should give me a little more space, because you guys know that it is hard to work with only 2 inches or less between the battery and the belt and everything else.

Yeah it can be tight, but I've never had to actually remove the battery to do any work. Heck, PRJ top swapped my car without needing to remove the battery.
Anyway, I'd personally run 1/0 gauge wire just so you know you won't have any problems.

I bought my car with it already relocated to the trunk, I have to say I wish all cars were like that because it frees up space under the hood and enables me to jump cars no matter how I'm parked, one set of terminals under the hood and a set in the back. My battery is wired on the inside of the car under the carpeting and all.
Go for it, you will love it!

I would run the cable through the car- just like your sound system. There is plenty of room in there for large cable; I've got a 2/0 run through mine from back before my system got stolen.
Where do you plan to mount the battery? I used to run my 2nd battery in the passenger rear corner- fit nicely behind the tail light, and I built a box around it. Now that I went back to 1 battery, I just put it in the spare tire hole instead.

Do you guys just pretty much extend the positve/negative cables from the hood to the trunk?

The chassis is the negative cable.
so extend the positive, ground the negative battery to the chassis in the back and ground of the negative from the engine?

Its a little tighter fit with a v8 in there lol.
Why do you have to remove the battery every time you work on it?
