Car Hesitates At 5000 To 5500 Rpm wonder why Rate Topic: -----

when i have it wide open the car accelerates fine clear to it hit 5000 rpm until it shifts and i was wondering if it could be the K&n filter doing it
if you guys have any idea help me out

i changed the fuel filter still does the same thing any other ideas

When was the last tune up? Age of plugs / wires? Is the K&N dirty? etc. etc.

it has 91k on it and i dont think it has ever had a tune up and the plugs and wires are proly the original and the k&n filter is 2 weeks old

Check the plugs and wires, they can cause it.
