It can be done but you could just fix yours for a few bucks. It prob just has seized bearings.
Phoenix man hey give me a call.

I dont think his throttle body is actually stuck. I think what he is saying is that the throttle body is part of the intake manifold on his 95 and the 96-97 has the extention and removable throttle body.

The 95 still has bearings just like the later years just a tad harder to get out. What sucks about trying to swap bearings is they put them in the housing and press crushed the alum over the side of the bearing to keep it from falling out. Have to use a dremel tooll to remove the mushroom.

well, the swap is labor intensive and requires some rewiring, rerouting of coolant lines, and several parts off a donor car.

basic parts list:

-96+ upper and lower intakes with TB
-96+ front coolant passage (runs from the water pump riser the the t-stat housing)
-96+ coil bracket
-Egr block off plates
-96+ throttle and cruise cables

i wont get too indepth with the procedure unless you are actually still interested in doing the swap. but basically you tear the engine down to the heads (perfect time to do the timing belt btw) and replace the front coolant pipe with the 96+ one, you will need to relocate your coil packs to the passenger side of the motor with the 96+ bracket and also lengthen the wires to reach, then use a block-off plate on the rear exhaust manifold where the EGR normally goes (home fabbed my own) and install the new intakes/tb/cables. iirc we had some issues with the fuel lines being too long (we used the 96+ fuel rail) ad you must be very careful removing the coolant pipe from the donor car and it tends to stick in the t-stat housing and break at the oring seat (will never seal right, going to replace this on the cutty this weekend)

like i said labor intensive but do able. it took us 2-3 weekends to complete (had some other issues to contend with)

In case you care, I have two (2) complete sets of 96-97 stuff for the swap I can sell.

I don't check this forum often, so if you (or anyone else) wants it, email me at qwikgta@yahoo.com

I can send pics

(I have never installed it back on a car, but it only takes about 2 hours to remove it all off the car.)

its not hard if you have all the parts... if you dont swap your wiring harness your EGR will not plug in and may get a CEL.

UIM w/ TB & sensors
LIM
Coolant pipe (runs around front of engine
rear valve cover (UIM will not fit over '95 cover)
UIM to LIM bolts
LIM to head bolts
throttle/cruse cables
all new '96-7 gaskets

i used my '95 plug wires and just trimmed the plastic pull tabs off so they fit under the intake manifold. I did the swap in a few hours... i had to reconfigure a few things for my turbo setup like the intake arm coolant bypass i trimmed off and sealed off on the LIM with a freeze plug, my heater doesn't get scolding hot like it used to but warm enough to defrost... about my only boo boo but saved me from changine the heater core coolant pipes over. 60degreev6.com has a write up on the swap and if you look at my pics in my gallery over there i have some pics to help explain the swap.
