So on the gtp throttle body, there is the normal space for a throttle cable to connect to and there is a plastic clip for the cruise cable to connect to. Eric and i tried connecting my throttle to the throttle piece and it is just plain weird. It wont let me go anymore than 1/2 throttle. It looks as if my stock throttle cable is to long. Any ideas?

Hmm... My throttle cable has a little bracket on it that slides right down into the throttle body grooves. Are you hooking up the end of the throttle cable correctly?

By bracket do you mean the small cylinder type thing on the end of the cable? Mine barely even fits into the tb grove. Eric (mrclean) came over yesterday and tested it himself, doesn't fit correctly. It does go into the grove, but the tb still doesn't go any more than about 1/2 throttle.

No, the bracket I'm talking about is a plastic clip that's on the end of the cable cover (look where the actual cable meets the black housing of your throttle line) and that should slide down onto your actual throttle body. The small metal cylinder on the end should work just fine, it is a little tough to get it right, but it can be done. I've done it quite a few times personally. If you had any pictures, that would help tremendously. If you don't, I'll take a picture of mine tomorrow when it's light outside and post up the pics when I get off work around 10 PM.

Okay, now i understand exactly what you mean. I know when i put it in it is 100% right, but it just wont go over 1/2-3/4 throttle like its too long for the tb so it wont pull it farther than that.... Any way to add tension it?

Oh... So the cable lacks tension, even when you have the metal cylinder hooked to the TB?

Don't rule this out - there may be a loose connection to your accelerator.

yes, the cable lacks tension even when the metal cylinder is hooked to the tb.

I checked near my accelerator, all is good. fml Posted Image

That's odd... Perhaps the cable is stretched? Have you tried manually retracting the cable into the black casing?

Don't try and space the bracket, asking for trouble there.

Look at the gas pedal, you will see how the cable connects to it. You can add some spacers there so that it pulls the cable more. I had to do the same thing with mine when I did my swap. You will see how easy it is once you look under there.
