Got home from school today and got my bag out of the trunk (as usual) shut the trunk and went inside. Then when I tried to pop the trunk later, it wouldn't open. So I had to crawl through the back seat and manually pop the lock to get the trunk open. Pulled out after that and I had no reverse lights. Both of these went out after I closed the trunk but I have no clue what happened. Checked all my fuses and ran every wire as far back into the car as I could to see if it had been pinched and there was nothin. Without bein here are there any suggestions on what could have happened?

-edit-

Just got an email back from my automotive teacher and he's letting me bring a circuit tester home tomorrow so I'll be able to see if these two things are getting power..

My reverse lights are run to LED's like in said pic, but I've bypassed the bowtie lights since this pic was taken so it's only LED's now.

It's not hacking? Just splicing two wires?

hacking. what i am getting at is no one but you knows what your wiring job looks like and i can only imagine what a hack job it is so we can't diagnose what your problem is.

Lol if you call taking a positive wire and wire capping it to the other positive, then capping the negatives hack job...
I understand no one understands how my wiring is exactly without drawing out a giant diagram but I was wondering what could kill my trunk latch when that wire was never even touched.

there is more wires taped in your trunk than just those, you have it in your sig. again, we don't know what you've done to your car so we can't answer a question. idk how or why it would stop working

I know there are but the only ones close to the latch at all is the reverse, my brakes are run to the top. I'm just at a loss and between school and work haven't been able to sit down with a wire tester, hopefully will be able to this weekend.

Just pull every fuse and check it. Won't take you more than 10 minutes.

Unfortunately not, my boss has been working me 30+ hours a week on top of school, and band now that football season's back. Tomorrow's my first down day so I'll probably start by just pulling fuses then start popping wires with the tester and trace the loss if it's not a fuse.
