Have an 01 Lumina with 3.1. Sometimes when we start the car it will idle really high and when we shut it off the idle drops back down to normal. Just recently while driving at Low RPM/speed (parking lot) the car will die and will start right up.

I'm think the throttle position sensor or IAC valve. Any suggestions?

IAC valve? maybe carbon buildup or something keeping the plunger from modulating properly
