i have a '98 monte with a 3100. i'd like to do a 3400. is it possible and if so how? what would all be needed?

Why are you replacing the motor for a blown headgasket when you could replace the gaskets for about $120 and 4 hours.

that motor has never been right since day one. its a ticking time bomb thats been nothing but a pain in the ass. time for something newer and less miles.

A 3400 should drop right in.

Be better off fxing the headgaskets on 3100 and do a top swap, IMO.
