Hey guys, long time lurker here. I have a bit of a problem with my 2001 monte ls with the 3400. I had a coolant leak from the L shaped hose that comes from the heater hose and feeds into the throttle body. Today I tore into it and replaced the L shaped hose with a small piece of coolant hose. At the time I didn't think about getting an L shaped hose from the auto parts store, and the normal coolant hose I used is kinked at the bend. After I noticed the kink I went to the auto parts store and purchased the correct hose, but it was dark and very cold here so I didn't put it on yet. My question would be, is it okay to drive the car like this, if the kink is allowing absolutely no flow through the TB? It should still have flow through the system, however restricted.. I will replace with the correct hose tomorrow, but will I be okay to drive to work in the morning, or should I find a ride?
Also, when I was bleeding air from the system I turned the left bleeder valve (On top of the block) to much and broke it off, anyone know where I can find a replacement? and how to get the broken threads out of the hole
Thanks very much guys.. 225K and going STRONG!!!

Places like milzy sells the heater lines modded so they dont have the tb connections. id say your okay to drive it, but dont take my word for it. All its really doing is not allowing the tb to be cooled as it should.
The bleader valve you either would have to buy at a yard, or at a dealer. Chances are an auto parts store wont have it...

Milzy's replacement line is a straight tube, while the OEM line that I have has a narrow restriction between the feed to the TB and and the returen from the TB. I'm worried that If flow is minimal or nonexistent through the TB, the affact on the overall flow of coolant through the entire system...

There is no significance to that hose, so kinked or not, its fine.

Just get the correct hose...any hose that`s kinked will fail and then your`e at a loss of coolant and we all know what that means.....

Put the correct hoses on there the next day, thanks guys.
So, if I buy the bleeder valve set, what would you think the best way to go about removing the broken piece out of the threads?
