I cant seem to make my mind up on what I want to do with my 97 Monte Carlo Z34. I did the research on a L36. I did the research on a L67. And Im trying to figure out what it take to get a 3400 (LA1) in my car.

1st- Will the trans and axles that came with my car work fine?

2nd- Can I use my wiring Harness and pcm?

3rd- besides what im just asked, what other changes need to be done.

And yes I will be searching other place for these answers on my own. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advanced!

In the time it took to ask all these questions, you could have swapped in another LQ1 and been done.

You would probably have to find a 5th gen monte with the 3100 and use the wiring harness from it. The wiring between the 3100 and the 3400 are similar but I think you would have to do some modifications but dont hold me to that.
