Have you tried to have someone turn the engine over and bang on the tank hard when it wont start. GM pumps are notorious for loose fitted connections. Thats usually why you can bang on the tank and start it. May run for a year or an hour but sux either way the pump has to come out if thats what it is. Let us know if you find anything.
