Ok, I had this issue in the past but when I would randomly drive and when I go to hit the gas pedal the whole car just shut off for a second and then came back to life. Just basically cut off out of nowhere. Got a new starter installed today since the original finally went bad. On the way home, it cut off again, but turning off the car for good. I go to turn it back on a minute later and starts up just fine and gets me on my way to home. Do I possibly have a bad ground somewhere? I'm not the best with electronics.

Nothing what so ever. This is after several on and off cycles too. Only thing I saw go off when it shutoff was the volt symbol.

I have the same problem and I have tried everything I know to do including upgrading the grounds and nothing has worked so far. Good luck tracking it down and if you find it before I do be sure to fill me in on what it is.

I will definitely let you know if I find it. For some reason I have a feeling I won't.

Could be a bad ignition module, crank sensor, cam sensor. Check the grounds coming off the battery.

I have replaced the crank sensor and checked the grounds on my car. I guess a cam sensor and ignition module will be my next steps.

Check your fuel pressure when it happens, check for spark so you can narrow it down. Could be a clogged fuel filter, failing pump, bad MAF...
