I have a 2002 Monte Carlo with a 3.4 engine and only 84K miles. I have started to have some starting problems. The Problem..... When you drive the car and then turn it off for a short period (like for fuel ups), the car will not start. It will not even turn over.... then after a very short while (sometimes 15 min and others like 30 min), you put the key in and the engine fires right up.... It is very strange. It will happen three times in a week and then will not do it for several weeks.
I have checked the charging system and changed the starter.....
It has to be something electrical or some type of sensor?????
Can any one shine some light of this matter????
Thank you in advance for your input and help

Next time it does this, unplug the MAF sensor connector (in your intake hose) and try to start it.
