I am needing to replace the front brake rotors on my MC and wondering what most people go with? I would like to get some cross drilled/slotted, but not sure on what to get.... any opinions or suggestions are appreciated. not really looking to spend too much...thanks

Avoid the drilled/slotted of any brand unless they are actually cast into the rotor. A few members have had theirs crack around the holes and two people in my local GP club have had them completely crack through.

Anyways, with stock wheels, you wouldn't be able to see them anyways.

If you are looking for some good rotors, look at centric rotors and get you some Hawk HPS pads with those.

have decided to just go with some stock replacement fronts, and new pads. I still have drums on the back, never got around to swapping them out. the pads i have now are Duralast Gold from Autozone (back when i worked there) and have lifetime warranty, so taking the cheaper way out. Am going to be picking up some rotors from them as well, and unfortunately i am going to be selling the MC, hate to, but time has come to move onto something else. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

well ended up just going with stock replacement rotors, which i didn't realize how bad mine were until comparing them to new ones haha. anyways, got pads and rotors off and went back with new ones, and while putting everything together i pumped the brakes after getting one side together and had a little leak but figured it was the brake line. went to the other side and totally forgot that it was still torn apart, so it had popped one of the pistons out of the caliper. tried and tried to get it back in but no luck. so i looked up calipers online and ended up going with 2 new ones, didn't want to replace just one side (had bad luck doing that before) so this little $50, 1 hour job ended up costing me $150 and all day to do it.. after bleeding the brakes, the car stops 10x better than it did before...so guess it all worked out for the better haha. just thought id let everyone know what kind of day i had Saturday....now to get the car cleaned up and listed for sale.

Don't get rid of it.... Should get EBC green for the front and I wouldn't had bothered working on the drums z34s are easy to find in JY grab the hole spindle and e brake cables Buy brand new hoses and swap that junk out.

I'm tired of people of are generation treating are cars like I-phones when a new one comes out the first problem they ditch the car. People in the 70s all there cars had little problems most people had knowledge on fixing there the cars from rebuilding a carburetor to adjusting points in the distributor. Was talking to my part guys and they were like its about 10% of the people are like you and upgrade every part the 90% coming in the store are looking for dirt cheap replacement parts. And another huge chunk of the population have no clue how to fix any thing or even change there own oil or change a tire... It just irritates me that people as a hole we have reached a level of stupidity when it come to any thing mechanical they rely on others to fix or throw it away.

Win for what? Ha, Ha! ( I think the "win" is how long you've owned it).

That's low miles. I'm about to turn 172,000!

191k im on the dread 200k warpath but for logistics does it even matter idk what you would call a car with 4 new wheel hubs, struts, engine x2, trans 5x, set of rims 2x, brakes disk 6x, windshield, fuel pump, front calipers, hood 3x. Do we call this a new old car?
