Hello all, I am a new owner of 1995 monte carlo 3.1. The car has 153,000 miles, and seems to run pretty good except for 1 problem. There is a hesitation (bogging) that occurs from take off (acceleration). Once it get going it accelerates fine. It only bogs down on take off. Now, I have a question. I tried unplugging the IACV and for a few seconds the car accelerated fine, but then starts bogging again. Right now I am running it witht he IACV unplugged. I am getting no check engine light. Can a faulty IACV cause hesitation on take-off? I unplugged the MAP sensor and it ran like crap. Any ideas? Thanks!!!!

Ok, I got an update. I plugged the IACV back in this morning and drove it to work. It seems to hesitate intermittently. I will keep troubleshooting.

is the check engine light on? does the car need maintenance like spark plugs? have you checked the air filter for dirt and the airfilter housing for debris? have a look at both sides of the throttle body blade and check all vacuum hoses for cracks and breaks.
