You could do it... Granted you're going to probably need to frame from the donor car, you have to convert to RWD, but with enough time and resources it can be done...

Either way, you're gonna have to convert to RWD, which to be honest involves a bunch of stuff I know little about.

Wiring will probably be a mess too.

The only 2 manuals you can do without converting to RWD that I know of are the old Getrag trannys and the 6 speed G6 trannys.

RWD = Rear Wheel Drive

You basically are going to have to do chassis swaps. Not even an easy task.

Chad (Bumpin') is actually doing this. But I haven't heard any updates. He's still just been DDing his Camaro.

You don't need to to a chassis swap or rip the car apart. Front half the car and run motor plates. You'll have to cut up the floor pan and put in a good tranny tunnel with enough clearance. You'll also have to back half the car and run a four link and a fuel cell. You'll need the complete wiring harness and PCM from the LS1 and whichever tranny you choose. The hardest part is going to be mating it to the existing harness that runs into the firewall plug.
