Drove 100 miles to a lot to drive this car. Had only 65000 miles on it. Love the way it handled and the power. Alot of scratches, no dents. While test driving stopped, looked under the hood noticed a valve cover leak smoking off the manifold. Also noticed where the dash was starting to warp a little. What is with the dashboards on Monte's. After discussing with my wife, took it back and said no thanks. Since the dashboard on my Monte warped, that was the deal breaker for me on the 04. Cost too much to replace! Nice Monte though.

Yup, keep looking. Nothing makes me more mad then when it's not at advertised. Happened to me when I was looking for mine. The first SS I test drove was promised to be "immaculate" (at chevy dealership), and it was beat to crap. So next one I looked at (mine- at a different dealer), I called them and told them if it wasn't as advertised they're paying for my wasted gas.

Don't feel bad, I drove 4.5 hours to Michigan, cash in hand to buy a cobalt ss/tc at a Jaguar dealer that the salesman assured me looked as it did online. Got there only to see it looked like it had been wrecked in the front and back and teh repairs were horrible looking. I was pissed

LOL...the blazer I have was advertized as low miles and great condition....went to check it out and the damn motor was blown..but i made a deal from hell and it worked....gave `em my 85 olds delta 88 and 3000 cash for the thing...it was only 5 yrs old and they took it. nursed the thing for 2 years then put a crate motor in it. Still got it and it`s an awesome beach cruiser.

I bought my 99 Regal GS a few years back to find out it had a 3.4 pulley and no other mods. Spun all the bearings 4 months later. had 1" of metal shavings in the oil pan. That and the #6 plug wire was cut clean off 1" from the boot when I got the car.
