I have the optional radio with the CD player. I think it's showing it's age. It seems to play factory CD's ok. When I try to play a CD I have burned with my computer it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I bought a CD cleaner disk. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. When it doesn't work (CD or cleaner disk) the display shows "ERR", and then ejects the disk. When I get a burned CD to play it will skip and click making it very annoying to listen to.
Do I have to keep trying to clean it more? Or is this 13 year old player just showing it's age?

So the problem is ONLY with your burned CDs?
Perhaps it's the CD you are burning on to. I've gotten a few bad batches of blank CDs and DVDs

Burned CD's AND the cleaner CD. It's a Memorex cleaning CD.
Roger on the low quality CD possibility. I always heard the blanks that are labeled "Music CD's" was bogus, that the extra you pay went right to the music industry to make up for their "Losses"!
I'm going to run the cleaner through the player a few more times, see what happens.

Memorex isn't a great brand, so maybe the cleaner has the same issue.

I wouldn't worry about a cleaner honestly.
Just buy a 5-pack of a different brand of blanks and reburn them at a slow speed.
I often found music cds burned at 8x or 16x to have skips in them. I usually burn mine at 2x
