So the tachometer on my Prelude was going INSANE, right? Jumping everywhere. Just fixed it tonight. I had to replace a part. Can anyone guess what was causing my tach to jump everywhere, regardless of actual RPM?

Oh, and got the fuel filter on the Monte changed... Hopefully will take it for a drive Sunday and then hope that it doesn't cut off when it's warm and I put it in reverse. Other than that though, she's a nasty ass car lol

Sad thing is I've driven my Honda reliably much more than my Monte.... Well.... The Monte drives, it just doesn't like reverse sometimes. Haven't tested it with the new fuel filter, MAF, or cam sensor yet however...

Something is wrong with the Monte. I get a terrible vibration/hum from the front passenger wheel as I drive. My G2 paint on my caliper seems to be getting ruined. I think the caliper is dragging on me, but I don't have tools to check it out, been driving the Camaro until I can take the Monte in to find out the issue.

Also, I got a ScanGauge2 and was scanning the Camaro for KR and it was knocking terribly. I'm on a tank of 93 and the KR is gone... ugh.

my monte is hibernating. she's dirty though. I wasted the warm weather without getting her cleaned up. damn.

Though she's not in storage, so it will get dirty again. sigh. I hate winter.

if you have a C clamp you can check your caliper.. that sucks

The hub was my first thought. Then I drove to a spray car-wash and when I hit the wheel, it steamed like crazy. The only thing I figured could make it do that is a dragging brake creating heat?

Either way. I don't have my jack/torque wrenches/anything at my apartment, so I am at the mercy of a diagnosis from a mechanic.

If it is a bad caliper, I have a whole extra set at my parents' and I will probably just grab one next time I go up in the Camaro.

Ouch, could possibly be a bad caliper, the rotor's probably warped by now also if it wasn't before...

Hopefully I'll find out the mystery on Saturday. Get a quote, and see if it is justified to go grab my second set of calipers haha.

Hmph ... we haven't had much of a winter this year. The ONE year I HAVE to put the MCs away early ... and still ... barely any snow.

Sorry man, kinda hopin for you that she's an Ex. Not very attractive.

I noticed that the Monte is leaking power stearing fluid when I was changing the passenger axle. The boot that goes into the rack was soaking wet. I'm no mechanic, but I'd say it's not good. Poor car

It is a bad hub, they quoted me $508, I laughed. In 2 weeks I'll be driving it up to my Parents' and doing the work. No Monte driving for 2 weeks

Wow 508? The part is like 50 bucks and takes an hour or two to change.
