Nice looking car. Not a fan of the hoodpins or the breather, but I do like the gauge cluster and where you mounted the aeroforce gauge.

I'm kind of iffy on the hood also. It does not look bad, but I just don't like the flow of it for some reason?

i actually hate the breather, lost my original cap :(
the hood was 200 less than the stock hood, also like 50 lbs lighter
the pins were not optional, the fiberglass is cracking by the latch, apparently fiberglass doesn't like 150 mph without pins lol

and it's not an aeroforce,it's an AEM wideband. i have multiple other tools that are more capable than an aeroforce interceptor gauge, they just aren't sitting out in the pictures, notice the hook&loop (velcro) by the defrost for the windshield? that's for my heads up setup i've been building

people either love it or hate it, in person it looks sweet and it goes with the body lines alright, i wasn't the one taking the pictures, my camera was dead, so my friend used his phone

one thing i have grown to love is the shadow when the sun shines on one of the sides, the bodyline looks awesome

and the gauge isn't mounted, i literally have a huge hole in my dash just for it, still need a stealthy way installing a boost gauge since mine didn't come with one (it's an '03)

I don't mind the hood, but it would look a lot better if it didn't have the fake scoop things to the sides of the main scoop.

My main beef though is your engine. Man that thing is cool, but if you're going to do some painting touches on the exterior and interior of the car, you should at least paint the valve covers and a couple other things, lol.

Also, what all do you have done to the engine? I can see the top swap, headers, and cai, but do you have anything else done to it?

In the end, I like your Monte. I bet it stands out a LOT in SD.

it's not a topswap lol, full 2005 l67 swap, corsa catless catback, brand new engine harness for a 2004 s/c monte, the rotors in my gen3 blower are coated the same as a gen5 and unscratched so they seal ridiculously well and i hit 15 psi with my 3.3 (wtf right?), zzp stage 2 ported tb, tb heat shield, blocked coolant passages to the blower and opened up the coolant bypass to replace the flow lost, egr is epoxied shut on the lower and the blower, smoothed out the egr hole on the inlet of the blower, yella terra 1.8 roller rockers, fresh built 3.29 hd converted 4t65-e crate trans with an external cooler, and all the stuff you mentioned, wideband tuned by me. car weighs 3470lbs with about a half tank of gas, i run around 40% e85 when i plan on racing, runs a little leaner and the higher octane supports it well no knock with straight 91 gas or e85 mixed in on the same tune, the e85 mix is brutal, not to mention it smells great

everything minus the building of the trans was done by me, i've got my old tb adapter that i used to run the l26 intake on my l36, and the gen5 lower intake modded the same as my gen3 lower sitting in a closet just waiting til i find the $ for a gen5, then i have to get the tb adapter machined out bigger the ported tb has a 3mm bigger bore

and the only reason the engine bay isn't all painted up yet is that the engine has only been in the car for a few months, it's been cold, aluminum valvecovers are what i will be replacing the stock ones with instead of painting, then a new oil cap to replace my false breather :)

flyby on straight gas

and yes it does stand out a LOT in south dakota, my car was on tv without me knowing until someone told me lol link to article and video

alright, i'll submit to that request lol, i wanted to completely debadge the car anyway and that was the only one left that i haven't taken off, there's a zzp on the trunk lid that i'm gonna take off

why don't you like the SS badge? i just have to ask, i wont be mad, just like to know why not to do something, if i open the scoop up here today i'm going to put a badge there again just to f*ck with people who say it makes it more obvious that the scoop isn't open

that attitude is why i'm here, i like to hear people's opinions, so when i do another Monte (~sort of), i can make one that tops every other in every area of performance, but i want to make it look as good as it will perform

this monte of mine will eventually fall to old man time, but the car will have a new purpose when that happens (hopefully not soon) and i'll be giving it a whole new life... tube frame with 2000-2007 Monte replacement panels, blown 4.2L l67, RWD, TH600 6speed, stock appearance interior, and the old monte's appearance... because sleeper racecar...

got a grudge to settle with the driver that had an evo pushing 52 psi, cut in line at the strip because he is who he is (rich f*ck), and destroyed me in a race when i was n/a and slow just having a good time, then proceeded to talk serious trash about how every domestic is sh*t  he pissed off a lot of people, i already helped a friend build a much faster (and reliable) domestic (ended up in carcraft magazine), now the guy went to drift because we showed him up in a domestic for $100,000 less than what his constantly broken evo costed him. now i'm going to try to build a super sleeper monte that is capable of beating him in whatever type of racing he runs to
