Finally got all the parts I needed to do the install.

Here's the shifter when I first got it :)

Then I found out it would be wise to upgrade the transmission sleeve to a bronze one (the stock is a plastic one prone to breaking)

Then I just needed the weekend, and a relatively warm day, which I just HAD.

Here's the crappy crappy long and sloppy stock shifter:

Removed my center console (boy was the car filthy under here)

The old shifter came right off, dropped the new bronze sleeve in:

Get the new shifter on there!!!

And put it alllll back together

CLASSIC!

I have a lot of getting used to with this thing. It is very strong, and very stiff. I missed 3rd gear a couple times trying to quickly shift this thing. They say it's a 40% shorter throw, it feels almost 70% shorter!!! I don't even feel like I have gone down into 2nd when I am in it.

New learning curve, I love it :)

I had a short throw in the Monte for a short time I didn't care for it. I could shift faster and more acuter with the stock one but cutting a half in out I would consider.

This one definitely makes life easier. The stock shifter on the Camaro was stupid long.
