After road trips the last 3 weekends in a row (1 for a family reunion in PA & 2 for car shows, Woodward Dream Cruise, MI, & the Weldon IL show respectively) I'm kind of looking forward to a relaxing 3-day weekend at home this coming weekend, including cleaning some vehicles...at least, that's the plan for now....

But, I'm also looking forward to the M-W Fall Gathering in 2 weekends...sun or rain!

For those of you planning to come, some hotels in the area include the Days Inn (I-90 & IL RT 25) & Holiday Inn (among a handful of others) just N of I-90 on IL RT 31.

Since the Friday night event is a normal cruise night in Elgin (Wendy's/Caribou Coffee, NE corner of Randall Rd & Bowes Rd) we will plan to meet there.

For the Saturday trip to the Volo Auto Museum, we can meet for breakfast (restaurant TBD). For those wanting to just drive up there with us, we will meet in the North end of the Walmart parking lot, SE corner of IL RT 72 & IL RT 25 in E Dundee IL at 8:45a, to be ready to head to Volo (via carpools) about 9a. Or, people can meet up with the convoy along the route (IL RT 72 E ... IL RT 59 N ... IL RT 12 N ... to Volo). We will arrive at the Volo Auto Museum by 10a.

Those not going to the Volo Auto Museum can meet up with us at the Saturday evening cruise at Beef Villa in S Elgin (SW corner of Spring St/Hopps Rd & McLean Blvd).

If you are planning to attend, let me know so I have an idea of who all may come. I can also give you my cell phone # (if you don't have it already) so we can be in contact that weekend.

Crystal Lake is a bit out-of-the-way to meet to drive up to Volo, compared to where most people will be at that time (greater Elgin area).

you know you are right on that one, i was originaly form algonquin so CL was alot closer then elgin but, ill see what my scheduele has in store and it all depends on my l67 swap comin up  if i can take the red bomb that far AGAIN lol
